When one is appointed by the Board, the purpose of the ACC is to preserve the architectural appearance of the neighborhood, review and approve/disapprove improvements to individual lots and establish standards in the exterior maintenance of each lot/house for the purpose of maintaining property values. In lieu of an appointed ACC, the Board will review all requests for improvements.
REQUESTS FOR HOME / PROPERTY IMPROVEMENTS
ALL improvements, like painting, siding, roofing, windows, carpentry, doors, etc that are being replaced, added, etc must first be approved by the Architectural Control Committee or the Board of Directors. If you plan to build or replace a fence, add or replace a structure on your property, etc…… all must first be approved. EVEN IF YOU PLAN TO USE THE SAME MATERIAL AND/OR COLOR you must submit a form and receive approval. If you do this work without approval and the ACC determines that your choices of color, material, design, etc would NOT have been approved you will receive notice from Atlanta Community Services to make the appropriate changes within 30 days after which you may be subject to a fine until it is resolved. All this is detailed in our Association Covenants (you can download a copy from our website).
